Born & raised in Canada, Michiko is a multi-talented artist who has a passion for the Arts.  Michiko trained as a musician throughout her childhood and continued her studies in music in college and graduate school. 

Although Michiko has a love for music, she always had a passion for the visual arts.  This passion brought her to Los Angeles to study fashion, film/TV & special effects makeup and then to New York City, where she continued her studies, focusing on hair.  Michiko is now based in New York City where she has been working as a freelance hair/makeup artist since 2001.  Her work can be seen on the covers of Numero Homme, Interview, Hamptons and New York Magazine as well as publications in glossies Esquire, W Magazine, Lucky, Womens Health, Vanity Fair and dozens more.  She works personally with Yoko Ono Lennon and has also worked with celebrities from Pharrell Williams to Jwoww, Oscar De la Renta and Alan Cummings to name a few.  During Fashion Week, Michiko works in New York, London, Milan and Paris on top hair teams of Sam McKnight, Guido and Bumble & Bumble.  She has worked on shows including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, and Victorias Secret shows. Michiko works as a platform educator in hair styling as well as hair and makeup for commercials, videos and television.  She has made many appearances on TV as a beauty expert and was featured on Oxygens docu-series“House of Glam”.

In her free time, Michiko stays busy by traveling, studying Japanese & playing the violin.
